Window Cleaning for Northwest Allen County Schools
Northwest Allen County Schools serves the communities northwest of Fort Wayne, and its newer buildings are built the way modern schools are: broad glazed entrances, tall clerestory runs down the classroom wings, and a lot of ground-level glass that several hundred people touch every day.
School glass is not difficult so much as unforgiving on timing. The work has to fit the calendar rather than the other way round.
Working around a school calendar
We schedule school work into breaks and the summer, and where a job has to happen in term time we start early enough to be clear of the entrances before buses arrive. Hoses and equipment stay off walkways, and nothing gets left across a fire exit.
Entrance glass gets the most attention because it takes the most handling: fingerprints at child height, tape residue from notices, and the grey film that builds on any door used a thousand times a week.
